PA Shoulder (Painful & Stiff Shoulder / Frozen Shoulder)
PA Shoulder, commonly known as Frozen Shoulder or Periarthritis Shoulder, is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes painful, stiff, and difficult to move. It usually develops gradually and can significantly limit daily activities such as lifting the arm, reaching overhead, dressing, or sleeping comfortably.
This condition occurs due to inflammation and thickening of the shoulder joint capsule, leading to reduced mobility and persistent pain. It is commonly seen in people between 40–60 years of age and in individuals with diabetes, thyroid disorders, or after prolonged shoulder immobilization. Early diagnosis and proper physiotherapy play a vital role in restoring shoulder movement and reducing pain.
